Arzachena municipality starts the Agendablu project, an ecofiendly agenda of 5 days where volunteers, people, fondations and associations gather together to clean different areas of the 80 km of coastline between Cannigione and the Costa Smeralda. This area is scattered with amazing beaches, sometimes difficult to reach and to clean.
the Mayor of Arzachena, Roberto Ragnedda, says that since 2017 the municipality has started a collaboration with important associations working in the delicate field of environment. This is another program aiming at the creation of a yearly social agenda full of initiatives that involves everyone, from students of Sardegna to volunteers willing to help protect this exceptional environment.
AGENDABLU 2018
The first meeting is on May 27-28, with the cleaning of the beaches of Cannigione gulf. Guests and volunteers will be able to gen on board of sailing boats and clean different beaches of the area.
The third appointment is scheduled for June 8th. It is designed by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in synergy with the One Ocean Foundation during the World Oceans Day. The project involves children, especially the 4th and 5th grades of the primary schools of Arzachena, Cannigione and Abbiadori, in cleaning the shores of Baia Sardinia. Upon arrival at 9.00 am in Tre Monti beach, the CNR of Oristano will hold a brief educational-informative lesson on environmental pollution. The event is open to anyone who wants to actively contribute, in their own small way, to the protection of the seas.
On Friday 12 October and Friday 9 November the last two appointments of 2018 organized by the Municipality with other important partners are on the agenda. The dates have been scheduled at the end of the bathing season to acknowledge what remains on our beaches after the summer.
